The Chevrolet Camaro was the most popular vehicle during the 2010 SEMA Auto Show. This year, tuning firms from all over the world are expected to field yet another impressive line of Camaros for all the aftermarket world to gawk at.That being said, Grip Tuning and Martin Technologies are looking to steal the show with a Camaro Convertible that was born from a joint collaboration between the two companies. The offspring of the Grip Tuning-Martin Technologies marriage is called the ’Martin Z875,’ a Chevrolet Camaro Convertible that was decked out from front to rear with a bombastic array of set-up and performance modifications. The overall look of the car certainly speaks for itself. The body kit comes courtesy of Grip Tuning and includes rocket panels, front and rear air dams, and an eye-catching rear deck lid spoiler. Adding to that set-up are a set of Camaro Sports BB5 wheels wrapped in Toyo tires and an interior dressed in a two-color Red and Black finish.Despite its ostentatious look, the true highlight of the whole package is the performance enhancements done on the American muscle car. Using a custom 426 Ci supercharged and intercooled engine, Martin Technologies was able to bring the output of the Camaro Convertible up to a staggering 875 horsepower, more than double the output of the Camaro’s 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 426 horsepower. On top of the mammoth engine under its hood, Martin Technologies also tweaked the overall powertrain set-up by adding a new camshaft and crankshaft, custom pistons, rods, and a stainless steel high-performance exhaust to complete the overall set-up.Whether or not you’re a fan of the way it looks, one thing you can’t take away from this custom Camaro is that it packs a mighty punch.
