Sweden registered some 26,600 new cars in October, 3.9 percent down from the same month last year, the Statistics Sweden and Traffic Analysis said on Tuesday. About 64 percent of the new cars were registered by companies or organizations, the agency said in a statement. During October, there were also about 19,000 cars registered off, meaning that there is actually an increase of only 7,600 new cars on the roads. Among the new cars, \"environmentally friendly cars amounted to 11,036, accounting for 41.4 percent, compared with 32.7 percent in the same month last year,\" the statement said. Meanwhile, the number of diesel-fueled cars increased by 61.1 percent, 10.6 percentage points up from October 2010.
