The general assembly of the Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies (AMAN) has unanimously agreed on a proposal by the Middle East News Agency (MENA) of Egypt to establish a center for economic studies.

The center should provide thorough studies on economic and financial developments in the Middle East and Mediterranean regions.

AMAN members also agreed to another MENA suggestion to hold a seminar on media economics in November.
