Cairo - MENA
Culture Minister Helmy Namnam participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Arab female media personnel union that took place in the Arab League (AL) headquarters on Sunday.
Namnam said that inaugurating the union coincides with two important events in the Arab world namely winning of 87 seats in the parliament by Egyptian female candidates and the approval of nominating women in the Saudi parliament.
The culture minister underlined also that establishing the union comes amid challenges that face the Arab media.
The female media personnel should shoulder their responsibility to improve the image of the Arab society abroad, he reiterated.
