Cairo - MENA
The Federation of Arab Journalists (FAJ) condemned on Saturday Israeli attacks on a rally staged by the Palestinian Syndicate of Journalists in the West Bank to mark the World Press Freedom Day.
Israeli army forces used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse dozens of Palestinian journalists, who rallied near an Israeli army roadblock in Bethlehem to mark the day.
Nasser Najjar, chairman of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, was slightly injured during the dispersal of the rally.
Other journalists suffered suffocation after inhaling tear gas.
