Cairo - MENA
A misdemeanor court in Cairo has overruled an appeal by media man Ahmed Moussa, challenging a two-year term issued against him in a libel case.
Moussa had been convicted of insulting Dr Osama el Ghazali Harb, one of the founders of Egypt's liberal-leaning Democratic Front Party.
Moussa had also been fined 10,000 pounds until the misdemeanor court reaches a verdict in the appeal.
Today, it upheld the two-year sentence against Moussa.
