Abu Dhabi - WAM
The "ISO Certification 2008: 9001", which was awarded to the National Media Council (NMC) from the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in 2013, had been renewed for three years, following comprehensive auditing, conducted by TUV Rheinland, a global leader in independent inspection services.
Mansour Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of the NMC, received the ISO certificate from Shibu Davies, TUV Rheinland's General Manager for Certification & Auditing, during a ceremony held at the NMC headquarters today, in presence of the Council's senior officials.
"The renewal of the ISO 2008: 9001 signifies our commitment in applying the best standards of quality management and developing them to the highest levels of customer service in order to achieve our strategic objectives," Al Mansouri said.
The NMC developed all its processes and services in order to make it more flexible and to enhance customer satisfaction with it. It also seeks to promote and strengthen a culture of quality among its staff and customers.
The NMC is an autonomous federal government body with a mandate to develop the media sector in the UAE in a way that will lead to enhancing the country's global standing.
