Head of the National Press Authority Karam Gabr said on Monday that the Egyptian government and people should be united in the face of terrorism.
"The army and police cannot be solely responsible for countering terrorism, but the whole state should act," Gabr told MENA on the sidelines of a conference of the syndicate of press employees.
He warned against conspiracies by some states against Egypt by providing financial and logistics support for terrorist cells.
"Press is responsible for reviving media," he said, calling on media to play a bigger role in the fight against terrorism.
