Washington - UPI
Outspoken television anchor Keith Olbermann, 56, is leaving ESPN again, and his contract will not be renewed after July 31.
Olbermann, who was on ESPN in the '90s, eventually became known for his time at MSNBC. In 2013, Olbermann returned to ESPN with his own sports commentary show, Olbermann, shown on ESPN2.
CNN Money reports his departure was due to possible contract negations between the two parties, not about Olbermann's comments about Penn State.
Though the cut could be over salary negotiations, CEO Bob Iger declined to comment, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Olbermann's exit comes two months after Bill Simmons, who left when his own $5 million dollar contract wasn't extended. Simmons' departure came after heated remarks about the NFL and Ray Rice.
Olbermann will sign off on July 31.
