Schools and education centers in Zionist settlements near the Gaza Strip ceased activity on Sunday after the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement fired several rockets at Israel in retaliation for the yesterday air raids which killed several Palestinians.According to FNA dispatches, after rocket attacks at Beersheba (Bir As-Saba), Ashdod and Ashkelon settlements by Islamic Jihad\'s Al-Quds Brigades, Israeli security officials closed down schools and educational centers in all settlements located around the Gaza Strip. Israeli security officials also tightened security measures and elevated the status of security threat in these settlements. On Saturday, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad\'s Al-Quds Brigades vowed retaliation against the Zionist regime after Israeli fighter jets bombed its training camp in the Gaza Strip, killing 7 Palestinian fighters and injuring 10 others. The Palestinian group said the attack will be retaliated with a crushing response to the heart of the occupied territories. The Israeli raid drew harsh criticism and a strong response from the al-Quds Brigades\' Spokesman, Abu Ahmad, saying that ceasefire with the Zionist regime has no more meaning for the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement. He also said that the recent attack of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian territories was the most dangerous assault during the last few months, underlining that al-Quds Brigades have mobilized their forces to give a proper response to it. According to FNA dispatches from Gaza, during the air strike conducted at midday Saturday, seven members of the al-Quds brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, were martyred among them a top Palestinian commander.
