The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will issue a decision in mid-September to enroll Jordanian students studying in Yemen and Libya in the Kingdom’s public universities, according to the ministry’s Secretary General Mustafa Odwan. Odwan told Petra that 988 students studying in Yemeni universities and a further 103 in Libya had applied for admission due to insecurity in the two Arab countries. He said the issue of those students and their safety was at the center of the ministry’s interest, noting royal directives had been made to find a solution to their dilemma. Odwan said each university would apply its own admission regulations after referring to the students’ academic records in the universities they came from.
