Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met Sunday with Kazakhstan's Ambassador in Cairo Arman Isagaliev to discuss cooperation in the fields of higher education, scientific research, science and technology.
The minister pointed out to the deep historic relations between both countries in various fields, especially in light of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Kazakhstan in 2016, during the meeting which took place at the ministry's headquarters in Cairo.
Abdel Ghaffar called for expanding the areas of cooperation between the two nations, particularly in cultural relations, student exchange, as well as boosting cooperation between both countries' universities, in addition to exchanging expertise in issues of common interest for both nations.
He also called on Kazakhstan's universities to organize training courses for Egyptian students in the medical, engineering and humanities fields in the coming period.
Meanwhile, Isagaliev invited Abdel Ghaffar to visit his country to take part in the activities of the higher education and scientific research ministers conference, which will be held on September 9-10.
