Burnt cottage near Moscow

Three children and their mother were killed in a fire in a cottage near Moscow, the Russian Investigations Committee’s department in Moscow region said on Sunday.
Fire in a cottage in the settlement of Terekhovo was reported by a man living in a neighbouring house who had felt the smell of smoke. He helped a young man get out of the burning house through the window. The young man said that there were a woman and three children inside. After the fire was put out, rescuers found the dead bodies of three-year-old twins - a boy and a girl, their 11-year-old brother and the mother. According to preliminary data, the four bodies were found in their bedrooms.
“Forensic examination will be held to identify the causes of death,” Olga Vrady, a spokeswoman for the Russian Investigations Committee’s department in Moscow region, told ITAR-TASS.
Some sources say the bodies of the woman and the children were severely burnt. The saved young man is said to be a friend of the elder daughter who was in Moscow at the moment of the incident. The mother, according to unverified information, worked at Russia’s oil major Rosneft.
An investigation is underway.
