“The government has drafted, under the instructions of President of the Republic Abdelziz Bouteflika, a bill on the creation of an alimony allowance fund which will be discussed by the parliament,” said the minister in a reply to a question on the husband’s obligation who divorces his wife to pay an alimony allowance and ensure housing for the care of minor children.
In this regard, Louh said that he who divorces his wife is obliged to pay her an alimony allowance and ensure her housing to “protect his children from the impacts of the break-up and preserve their moral and material stability.”
