Female officers are on Cairo streets to combat violence against women, Cairo police chief Ali el-Demerdash said Tuesday.
Police are everywhere around schools and malls, Demerdash told MENA, noting they are there to counter any flirtations or verbal attacks against girls, as well as any violations of law.
Attempts to hinder the educational process will be firmly handled in line with law, he stressed.
