The second GCC businesswomen forum

The second GCC businesswomen forum, organized by Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), stressed Thursday the importance of the role of women in making legislations and regulations amongst Gulf states.
The two-day event, which kicked off Wednesday in cooperation with the Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC), also emphasized in its concluding statement the need to form an integrated Gulf network for member states in order to extend cooperation links among Gulf businesswomen, and to establish an official headquarters for them.
The forum, entitled "Bridges of Cooperation and Openness", also called for finding means to assess the impact of the implementation of plans, strategies, and outcomes of former forums, as well as adopting and supporting programs of GCC chambers that are designed for the services of entrepreneur advisors in Gulf states.
It also pointed out the necessity of adopting university graduation projects by chambers and their partners, that are viable to transform into successful economic projects, as well as providing further support and encouragement to Gulf pioneering projects in the fields of financing, marketing, and investment services.
The forum also recommended the formation of integrated assessments for institutions and authorities backing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in order to benefit from their expertise and services.
