Over 1,000 participants from throughout the world, including 50 women speakers of Parliament, will attend the opening session of the Global Summit of Women Speakers in Abu Dhabi.
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation (PDF), and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Global Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament will begin tomorrow at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The summit will be held under the theme "United for Shaping the Future" and is being organised by the Federal National Council, In collaboration with the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The summit will be attended by over 1,000 participants from all parts of the world, including 50 women speakers of Parliament. Other participants include influential global leaders across government, business, industry, and society, who will attend this truly distinguished event on the global stage.
The summit's keynote speech will be delivered by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC). Other speakers include H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Saber Chowdhury, President of the IPU, Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, Ban Ki Moon, UN Secretary General, and Federica Mogherini, Vice-President of the European Commission.
