A Jordanian mother on Tuesday gave birth to quintuplets, four girls and one boy, according to the King Abdullah University Hospital where the multiple births took place.
Dr. Laila al Zaghal, who oversaw the births, said the 27-year-old mother was in good health after her first delivery which was via caesarean section.
Zaghal said the mother had conceived by implant and that the five newborns were the first set of quintuplets born at the hospital, adding that the mother and babies were receiving special care by the supervising medical staff.
