Al Baraha Hospital witnessed a rare birth operation, which occurs in every 8,000 pregnancy cases, where an Egyptian woman gave birth to triplets after a period of futility for 6 years. The hospital\'s emergency ward received the seven-month pregnant lady who was suffering from severe pains and bleeding. After her arrival to the hospital, the gynecologists tried to stop the bleeding and delay the child birth as much as possible but the situation developed into a full birth operation and the doctors decided to conduct an urgent caesarean section operation. Dr. Sameeha Khoory, Gynecologist Specialist in Al Baraha Hospital, said the caesarean section operation was necessary to keep the lives of the three babies and the mother\'s life that was facing clinical difficulties. Article continues below Taking one hour long, the operation was normal but there were some difficulties in the birth of the third baby because of a placental separation during the operation. Dr. Sameeha added that the operation is rare due to its triplet pregnancy and birth in the 30th week \"7th month\". This case happens in every 8,000 pregnancy cases,\" she said. Meanwhile, Ahmad Obaid Al Khadeem, Director of Al Baraha Hospital, said the hospital received the case where the patient was immediately admitted into the operation theatre to save both lives of the mother and the babies. The mother and her babies are in good health with no complications. Al Khadeem lauded the efforts of the gynecologists for supervising the operation and the medical team as well for saving the lives of the mother and her babies. Their quick reaction led to the success of the operation. The weight of the babies ranges between 1200-1300 grams and they are being kept in the incubators for a period between 6 to 8 weeks. Al Baraha Hospital is currently conducting full maintenance for newborn babies section to increase the numbers of the incubators. The hospital currently receives cases which need to be in incubators in one of the emergency wards.
