A union of Muslim Women in Russia has held here the first ever Muslim Women Congress entitled, \"The Role of Muslim Women in the 21th Century\" since the communist banned organizing such events in Russia back in 1917. Representatives of various unions of Muslim Women in Russia as well as a number of guests from some other countries attended the event which was held here last night. The Muslim Women Congress focused on the role of the Muslim women in the 21st century regarding the current political and social situation and the rights of Muslim women to engage in social, disciplinary, political and economic fields.
