Chair of the Arab Council of Businesswomen Sheikha Hessa Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah confirmed the interest of the Arab money and business circles in the development of the relationship with Russia.
Sheikha Hessa said in a speech during Russian and Arab businesswomen meeting in Moscow, that the Arab lends importance for investment and joint ventures between the Arab world and Russia to interact with the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Arab-Russian Business Council.
She also presented the council's most important properties, noting that the Council is an Arab economic non-governmental and not-for-profit association working under the auspices of the Arab League.
The council is looking for closer relations and to create cooperation and coordination in various economic sectors to achieve Arab economic integration and strengthening of economic relations between the Arab businesswomen and to develop trade between Arab countries, Sheikha Hessa added.
For his part, the deputy chairman of the Russian presidential reforms support commission, Viktor Ivanov, stressed the need to expand participation of Arab businesswomen in investment opportunities in Russia.
He also called for the formation of a joint investment center in order to develop ideas and projects of mutual benefit.
A delegation of Arab Businesswomen Council is scheduled to tour the cities of St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod in order to see the possibilities of trade and investment opportunities there.
