Ankara - MENA
Moscow State University student Varvara Karaulova, 19, was detained earlier in June on the border between Turkey and Syria while traveling with a group of foreigners allegedly recruited by Islamic radicals.
Following our appeals to the Turkish authorities, the embassy has just received a notice from the Turkish Foreign Ministry informing us that Varvara Karaulova will be able to return to Russia on Thursday," embassy's press attache Igor Mityakov said according to Sputnik News Agency on Thursday.
According to the embassy, Karaulova has been issued temporary travel papers as her Russian passport has been stolen.
