Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi

The World Youth Forum (WYF) in one of its sessions on Wednesday highlighted the importance of women empowerment in the social and economic fields, elaborating the Egyptian experiment in this regard.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi along with ministers of culture, immigration, investment and international cooperation, and planning were present during the session. The session was held under the rubric of "Means to Enhance Women's Political, Social, and Economic Participation.”

The session was held as part of the forum's discussions on sustainable development, technology, entrepreneurship and humanitarian issues.

Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram praised the role of women in the society, especially abroad, adding that Egypt is in continuous contacts with the third generation of Egyptians abroad, most of them were ladies.

President of the National Council for Women Maya Morsi said Egypt had a clear strategy for women empowerment and overcoming all the obstacles before women’s participation in the private sector and work.
