Egypt has received the rotating chairmanship of the Arab Communications Ministers' Council from Algeria during a ceremony held in Cairo Thursday.
Addressing the handover ceremony, Egypt's Communications Minister Atef Helmy, the current head of the council's 18th round, reviewed Arab coordination in the past period, especially in international conferences.
He underlined the importance of the communications and information sector in achieving sustainable development and the need to increase the Arabic digital content on the internet in all domains.
