Senior Iranian Parliamentarian Gholam Ali Haddad Adel warned of a war led by the Zionists to undermine Iran's scientific development and progress.
"In the new war waged against Iran, the enemies try to employ technological know-how under management of Zionists which requires collective vigilance of all people," Haddad Adel said on the sidelines of a specialized exhibition on campaign against industrial sabotage at Iran's nuclear sites on Saturday.
Haddad Adel also hailed the Iranian young scientists' role in the combat against the enemies' plots where they "have successfully revealed these sabotage and prevented their occurrence".
Last month, Haddad Adel underlined that Iran as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) has the right to advance its peaceful nuclear program.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a local ceremony, Haddad Adel noted that Iran has proved the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities during several rounds of talks with the Group 5+1 (the US, Britain, France, Russia and China plus Germany), therefore, there is no logic for exerting pressures on Tehran.
He went on to say that based on international rules and regulations, Iran has the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, adding that western powers can not prevent Tehran from achieving such a goal.
The 10th and last round of negotiations between Iran and the six world powers was held in Vienna from November 18 to 24.
In July, Tehran and the six countries agreed to extend negotiations until November 24 after they failed to reach an agreement on a number of key issues.
After the last round of the Vienna talks, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU coordinator Catherine Ashton announced that the deadline for negotiations had been extended until July 10, and the world powers had taken up to release $700 million of Iran's frozen assets on a monthly basis.
