Preparations are in full swing for launching the 14th session of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah's Informatics Award's current season.
Bassam Al-Shemmari, member of the Award's Supreme Committee, said in a statement on Sunday, that a news conference would be held on Tuesday to reveal new planned activities and grants.
He praised the role of the Chairperson of the Trustees' Board, Sheikha Aida Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, for promoting the Award at the Arab level, adding that the Award "has succeeded over the past years in occupying a distinctive status on the international arenas bearing the name of the State of Kuwait and publicizing Arab efforts in technology." The award contributes to promoting Arab electronic websites and smart applications, thus it has become lucrative for internet users in various corners of the globe
