Abu Dhabi - WAM
UAE based company, ASIS Boats, has unveiled its newest design model called the "Bluebird" at NAVDEX, the region’s most important naval and maritime security exhibition which began today in tandem with the International Defence Exhibition, IDEX 2015.
The Bluebird is the world’s most advanced military rigid hull inflatable boat, the company claimed, and added that the boat can be purposefully disguised and coloured to appear as a civilian or recreational vessel which provides a tactical advantage when needed.
The 9.8 meter boat is powered by twin 350hp outboard engines capable of speeds up to 65 MPH (105km/h), even in choppy waters, and combines the latest advances in martime shock mitigation, including a three-axis fully shock-mitigated console housing the operator seats and all equipment.
Roy Nouhra, founder and president of ASIS Boats, said," The Bluebird’s revolutionary design and features makes it one of the most advanced military rigid inflatable boats, with exceptional performance, versatility, safety, agility and comfort. There is no doubt that this is a craft that will be of great interest at NAVDEX."
