Polaroid will introduce an Android-based digital camera at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, company officials confirmed. Polaroid head Scott Hardy confirmed the interchangeable-lens camera to Imaging Resource but declined to offer any detail on the camera\'s possible specifications. However, a trade publication carried leaked photos and rumored specifications suggesting the camera will have an 18.1-megapixel sensor, 3.5-inch touchscreen, integrated WiFi, a pop-up flash, HDMI-out port and will be based on the Android 4.0 operating system, The Verge reported. Hardy said the final specifications would be confirmed at the CES introduction. Polaroid\'s announcement follows similar news from Nikon and Samsung, both of which have released Android-based point-and-shoot cameras.
