Iran exported some 4.5 billion cubic meters of its natural gas to Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan Republic during the first half of the current Iranian calendar year, started March 21, 2011, it was reported here Sunday. A local executive manager told reporters in this northwestern province that the total amount of Iran’s natural gas exports stood at 10.5 billion cubic meters in the said period. Yadollah Bybordi expressed hope that the provincial gas transfer network would improve in the near future so that the local gas exports would increase to 25 billion cubic meters.
