Progress made in the development of the Zohr gas field project reached 81% by the end of July, said Head of Petrobel Company Atef Hassan.

The total investments reached until now 3.8 billion dollars, he added during the visit of Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla, who inspected the development of the Zohr gas field project.

Work at the gas field is going on in full swing, the minister said in a statement carried by the Petroleum Ministry on Thursday.

During the tour, the minister was briefed on the progress made so far in the development project.

The head of Petrobel company also reviewed the development drilling program.
