A general secretary of Algeria's ruling party

The general secretary of Algeria's ruling party warned against what he said was an American-Zionist plot that could harm the country, in cooperation with internal political forces.
Ammar Seidani said that there is an alliance between Algerian political factions and external forces that aim to violate the country's national sovereignty, Middle East Monitor reported Monday.
During a gathering at Tizi Ouzou, Seidani called on the country's political forces to cooperate and coordinate efforts so as to protect the nation from the American-Zionist plot that aims to divide Algeria after Libya, Syria, Iraq and Somalia have been hit. He warned against the extremists poised to attack Algeria, saying that they are singing out of tune and they only represent themselves.
He added that those who conspire against Algeria want to create chaos in the country and he called for confronting this plot so as to protect the country. He urged his party to stand against this plot, noting that "the Arab Spring is a scenario that was fabricated by the West to mislead the Arab people".
