Cairo - MENA
Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damaty deplored on Friday the destruction and looting of Mosul's central museum at the hands of the terrorist Daesh group in Iraq.
In a statement issued by the Antiquities Ministry, Damaty said that such acts are doing harm to civilization and humanity.
He also called on UNESCO to ban the sale of the stolen artifacts, revealing his ministry's willingness to restore the damaged monuments once the situation in Iraq is stable.
