Cairo - MENA
The Antiquities Ministry received Sunday a mural from the Foreign Ministry after it managed to restore it from Britain in October.
Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el Damaty said that the mural was illegitimately taken out of Egypt, adding that it will be kept in the stores of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir after restoring it.
It will be showcased in the antiquities exhibition slated for January in the museum with other artifacts that were retrieved by the ministry recently to highlight the its efforts exerted in restoring stolen antiquities and its role in preserving the Egyptian heritage.
Director General of the Restored Antiquities Department at the Antiquities Ministry Ali Ahmed said that the mural depicts images of gods Abunis and Hat'hour and Pharaoh Siti.
