An Azhar convoy, led by deputy dean of Islamic studies faculty Gad el-Rab Amin, arrived in Aswan governorate to work on spreading moderate Islam teachings in bid to confront extremism.
In statements, Amin said the three-day mission will give speeches and seminars in schools and mosques of the governorate.
In the meantime, another Azhar convoy wrapped up its three-day visit in North Sinai.
The convoy's coordinator Salah Sakr said that the convoy members gave a number of seminars in the governrate's mosques.
They also distributed medications of various types to patients.
