Cairo - MENA
Al Azhar voiced concern on Wednesday over "crimes" committed by Shiite militias which support the Iraqi army in its current operations against Daesh.
In a statement, Al Azhar condemned as barbaric these militias' crimes in Sunni-majority towns and cities that have been liberated from Daesh.
It cited expelling, killing and execution acts of the Shiite militias in these regions.
It called on the international community and human rights groups to intervene to those massacres.
