Basra - MENA
Basra, Iraq's southern city, seeks to join Guinness World Record for raising the largest national human flag.
Iraqi residents together with activists and goodwill ambassadors raised the 1,111-meter-long flag of red, white, and walked through the city streets till reaching the complex of presidential palaces.
The move comes as part of a campaign meant to support the army, Sunni clans and Shiite popular forces in face of terrorist groups.
