Communist Party of China (CPC)

A senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has called for meticulous implementation of the rule of law at local levels and urged officials to make concrete effort to solve people's problems.
Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during an inspection in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality from Nov. 8 to 10.
During the trip, Liu visited villages, towns, communities, enterprises and cultural groups concerning local implementations of the rule of law and cultural development, two points underlined by President Xi Jinping in key speeches made last month.
"The rule of law is the footstone for a strong and prosperous country as well as the guarantee for people's safety and health," Liu said, calling for a strong belief in the rule of law and the principles that the Constitution and laws enjoy the highest status and everyone is equal before the law.
Liu urged officials to relate to realities, focus on issues people care the most and push forward the construction of China under lawful governance by solving real problems.
He called on CPC officials to take the initiative in strict Party management with stringent standards, measures and disciplines.
In addition, Liu urged cultural workers to make great efforts to pass on national culture and boost the country's cultural influence, telling them to make more people-oriented cultural products.
