Cairo - MENA
The Egyptian Darul Iftaa (House of giving religious opinions) slammed on Friday the destruction of several Assyrian artifacts at the hands of the terrorist Daesh group in Iraq.
Earlier, Daesh militants ransacked Mosul’s central museum, destroying artifacts that are thousands of years old.
In a statement, Darul Iftaa said such acts have no any link with Islam, stressing that such artifacts reflect histories of nations.
It also underlined that Prophet Mohamed (PPUH) did not order His Companions to destroy such artifacts after the Islamic conquest.
