Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa attended the opening of the 22nd International Quran Recitation Competition, organized by the Awqaf Ministry, Saturday.

About 100 contestants from 60 states will participate in the event.

The value of the combined prizes of the four-category competition is over one million pounds.
