Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab will inaugurate on Saturday the Hanging Church in Old Cairo after a 16-year renovation process.
Present at the inauguration ceremony will be Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese, Cairo Governor Galal Saeed and a number of ministers and ambassadors.
The Hanging Church is one of the oldest churches in Egypt as it dates back to the 3rd century AD.
The cost of the restoration process exceeded 101 million pounds.
