The Suez Canal Authority opened Thursday the authority's antiquities museum in Port Said.

The opening of the museum is experimental as part of celebrations of the New Suez Canal opening.

The museum showcases a number of portraits and rare antiquities for Ferdinand de Lesseps along with stages of digging the New Suez Canal, said director of relations department at the authority Sameh Teimah.
