Hollywood star John Travolta arrived in Riyadh

Hollywood star John Travolta arrived in Riyadh on Friday at the invitation of the General Entertainment Authority's (GEA) in the Kingdom to meet with the Saudi audience and talk about his career. GEA has announced that the discussion panel with John Travolta was of charge as it invited those wishing to attend to register their names through the calendar site to reserve their seats.

Travolta spoke at a panel themed "An Evening with John Travolta" in the APEX convention center in Riyadh, talking about his journey through Hollywood and the entertainment industry. Travolta, who arrived in Riyadh riding his private jet, visited touristic, cultural and entertainment locations.

He has a rich experience as he is a full-fledged artist, who combines acting, singing, writing and production with more than 45 films, the first of which was in 1975. When he was young, he was married to actress Kelly Preston and has three children.

On the other hand, on his first visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Algerian singer Cheb Khaled, preceded his concert by performing Umrah and published a picture of him wearing Ihram clothes along with Kuwaiti Director Yacoub al-Muhanna on "Instagram", commenting: “Thank God.”

Cheb Khaled arrived in Jeddah to perform his first concert in Kingdom alongside American rapper Nelly at the King Abdullah City on Thursday. He praised the wonderful reception at his concert in Saudi Arabia “amid a large audience of over seven thousand people, who interacted with his songs and chanted their words with great joy, especially (C’est la vie).”

He surprised the audience by performing a large part of the song “Aash Salman” and his last song “Wahda be Wahda” in which he sang for the first time in Arabic. He also expressed his great admiration for the great singer Mohammed Abdu.

GEA is keen on hosting and organizing a wide range of seasonal, local and international events that are compatible with the different tastes and preferences of the varied segments of the community. Its events are known for being very popular amongst citizens of Saudi Arabia, with tickets for these events being sold out and free shows of the winter season campaign packed with large crowds
