Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) is joining forces with Kuwait Central Statistical Bureau on exchanging facts and figures that are the bedrock of executing well-substantiated researches needed for the nation's development plans, said the institute's Director General Naji Al-Mutairi on Tuesday.
Their intention of cooperation was codified in the signing of a shared memorandum of understanding whereby both sides help in efforts to train Kuwaitis in the field of scientific research and creativity, said Al-Mutairi, in a press statement.
He appreciated the notion that the Statistical Bureau will be able to furnish KISR with results of surveys on the labor market and the national economy including information on the budgets of Kuwaiti families, and conclusions stemmed from the national census. These facts and figures would be of great consequence to the work of KISR, he said.
The memorandum of understanding between the two sides is slated to last five years with the option of renewal made available, said the Bureau's director Maryam Al-Aqeel
