Luxor - MENA
The Upper Egyptian city of Luxor on Sunday celebrated the re-installment of the statue of King Amenhotep III.
Egyptian and German archaeologists managed to restore the 50 ton, 13 meter statute, which was destroyed in an earthquake 3,000 years ago.
The re-installment ceremony was attended by Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damaty and Luxor Governor Tarek Saadeddin.
