Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese took part in a Mass held Thursday to mourn the Armenians who were killed in a massacre committed by Turks in 1915.

This came during the 100th anniversary of the massacre.

The pope began on Monday a one-week visit to Armenia to participate in the anniversary.
