Egyptian authorities announced Monday that the Rafah crossing with the Gaza Strip will be closed Thursday, October 6 as the country commemorates the 1973 war with Israel. The interior ministry of the Gaza government advised passengers that there will be limited opening times at the crossing between October 6-10, Palestine\'\'s News Agency (Ma\'\'an) reported. The 1973 war, known as the Yom Kippur or October War, was fought between Egypt, Syria and Israel. Egypt signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1979.
