Awqaf Ministry has developed a plan to fight extremism in North Sinai and to spread the true image of Islam during the holy month of Ramadan.

The plan includes dispatch of three religious convoys every weekduring the holy fasting month, assistant Awqaf minister Amin Abdel-Wajid said.

Renowned preachers would take part in the convoys to correct mistaken concepts about Islam and to assert the tolerance of the religion, he added.
