Cairo - MENA
Trade relations between Egypt and China existed a thousand years ago, an Egyptian archaeologist says.
Abdel Rehim Rihan, in statements to MENA Wednesday, said many Chinese products had been detected at the old Raas Raya and Tor ports.
The Raas Raya Port, 10 kilometers south of Tor city, was an important trading point between the East and West, Rihan said.
White Chinese porcelain that dates back to the ninth and tenth centuries had been detected at the port, he said.
