The Ministry of Interior has won 14 Stevie Awards at the 2014 Eleventh Annual International Business Awards, IBAs, held in Paris. The Awards are the world's premier business awards, recognising innovation, corporate excellence and international business.
Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director-General of Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi, was the Gold Stevie Winner in the "Information Technology Executive of the Year" category.
Brigadier Sultan Yusuf Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ras al Khaimah ranked third in the "the Customer Service Department" and "Executive of the year 2014" categories.
Colonel Sheikh Mohammad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of Peripheral Regions Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police ranked third in the "Human Resources Executive of the Year" category.
This win reinforces the Ministry’s position in the Global Competitiveness Index, and contributes to preserving security and stability gains, and advancing prosperity and development in the Ministry of Interior’s various sectors.
The awards were presented during a gala banquet in France, in the presence of international institutions and executives who won the prestigious global award. The 2014 IBAs received entries from organisations, major companies and factories in more than 50 countries, with more than 3,500 nominations submitted for consideration in the wide range of categories.
The awards ceremony was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Interior, headed by the Director-General of Central Operations at the Abu Dhabi and included Colonel Sheikh Mohammad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of Peripheral Regions Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police; Colonel Salah Ahmed Mireich; Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Salem Mawla; Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Shaiban Al Rih; and Major Salem Abdullah Saqr.
