Cairo - MENA
A US-Egypt archaeological team discovered this month two tombs in the upper Egyptian governorate of Luxor, the US Embassy in Cairo said on Thursday.
It added that this discovery was accomplished in coordination with the Egyptian Antiquities Ministry.
The embassy noted that the two tombs, which were discovered as part of a project funded by the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE), are dating back to the 18th dynasty.
They belonged to Amenhotep, the guard of the Amon god gate and Samout, from the 18th dynasty.
